Georges Pompidou national art and cultural centre
Located in the Beaubourg district, the Centre Pompidou was born out of the desire of the French President Pompidou. His goal was to create a polycultural establishment fully dedicated to comtemporary creation. Inaugurated in 1977, being itself a work of art with its original architecture made of colorful tubes, the museum is home to the largest collection of modern and contemporary works of art in Europe.
